Chinese new year

Happy lunar new year everyone. This is the year of the ox, and here I wish all a happy ox new year. Today was very eventful day for me as there had been lots of activites took place.

I went to Chinatown to get some goods, and stuffs for the prepartion of union dinner. I got two hand full of goods with me after the trip. Couples of hours later, closing to 11pm, I set up the internet connection to view the" Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration TV Programme" . However, due to the internet "traffic" jamming, the programme could not been viewed.

I prepared 4 dishes with a soup with a cousin of mine. It was really a hard time for a guy... A guy who never really likes cooking. Really then I realise and know, those tips I used to think useless , some HomeEcone stuffs, are so helpful. In the end, we managed to complete the task for the prepration.

Close to midnight,We had our union dinner. Around 1 min early, we counted down. " 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0! Happy chinese new year!" We all shouted, including my mum who turned up too. We greeted and blessed each other. I as the son of my mum, was given a red packet as the tradition says.

Every chinese new year means something to the chinese, and I wish everyone treasures it well. It is not only for taking red packets from the elderly but also means the union of all families.
